Quote of the Day

I've decided I'm going to start posting a "Quote of the Day"
Like I said the earlier, I do love my quotes!


I think what I'm going to do is post it, maybe add a little of my opinion on it, and then let you decide whether you like it or not. Sound good? :)


Personally, I love this quote below. I know I said I would give you a little of my opinion, but this is just one of those that will speak for its self.

Day Three:

My dad loves birds, and I love doing anything creative, hands-on and artsy.

Believe it or not, this is the perfect combination :)

I'll just cut to the chase because explaining it fully would take to long and boring. 

Yesterday I made a "Bird Water Fountain", if that makes any sense to anyone. Haha...

Its hot outside and my dad challenged me to design a bird bath with a fountain (and running motor) that could sit on our porch.

After 2 and a half hours at Home Depot and spending about $100 dollars, this was the finished product :

I have yet to figure out how to cut a slit in the side to hide the plug in,
but it couldn't be thaaat hard (I hope)

I actually really enjoyed this project, even though I had to do it outside in the 100+ degree heat! I'll be sure to put pictures of the next few I make on as well.

Day Two:

I'm really into photography so I've decided to add some pictures that I've taken. I like taking pictures of ANYTHING, flowers, my friends, my betta fish, Luna, anything, and I especially like capturing the candid moments over the fake, pose-y pictures. Photography is one thing I'm looking into majoring in in college, but I havnt decided. I don't know how the pixel quality is but hopefully they look okay.

In my opinion, we use quotes to say things when we ourselves don't have words to describe what we mean or how we feel. Over the past year I endured my freshman year (shoot me) of high school, and during our boring but GPA-boosting art class we got on our little smart phones and looked up quotes. Even though our favorites usually consisted of love, heart break and boys, we also found many talking about how there's no one better than your best friends, and how important it is to accept and respect yourself for who you are.

Day One: I have no idea what I'm doing

My name is Lauren, and being that it's nearing the end of our summer break, things are dwindling down, I have run out of things to do.
I understand that in making this Blog I will probably have few followers (or veiwers...I'm not sure what's the correct lingo yet) , if any at all, and no one may ever actually see it but me. But I'm doing it for fun, and what's the point in anything if you aren't having fun, right? Thats what I live for, fun! I'm gunna try and keep up with this everyday, and hopefully post atleast semi-interesting things that people like you will enjoy reading :)
